Among the attendees of ArmourExpo 2018 Trinidad was this lieutenant of the Trinidad Coast Guard. She is the head of IT for the Coast Guard.

ArmourExpo succeeded in education and promotion of Cyber Security among the ISACA members and guests at the Trinidad Hilton on Thursday.

A lot of students nowadays have a BA., M.Sc, or Ph.D. – unfortunately, they don’t have a J.O.B. Not these fine gentlemen pictured here. They are all Computer Science students at the University of West Indies in Trinidad. I really enjoyed hanging out with them at the #ArmourExpo cocktail hour at the Trinidad Hilton.

I have to give kudos to ForeScout Technologies Inc. who actually gave these students a hands-on demo in cybersecurity on their laptops. It’s an experience that they wouldn’t have had in the course of their education. The big value proposition is that these students have a computer security awareness that will give them an edge professionally and even in getting their first job when they graduate. When you have knowledge just by experience, you never graduate.

I hope that these students keep on showing the drive that they have by attending, and never let their schooling interfere with their education. Thanks guys .. and Maldonado too, for photo-bombing this pic.
